So regardless of minor flu, independence celebration event was something what Sparrow definitely wanted to show to me. However, original plans changed a bit so we weren’t able to leave early enough to see parades and such in the early morninh. Instead we aimed into seeing afternoon evening celebration in the Atlanta.
okey, we arrived a bit too early for seeing this celebration, since it was going to start in late afternoon. So we wandered around the city and ended up into big book store. Ah! so huge amount of books, but so little change to buy them since they weight so much that I can’t carry them in my luggage. Anyway we are going to visit shop later and see if we can find some books for M&J.
For lunch we took bread from Subway, and well, we get rather full.
After wandering around for a while, our waiting was rewarded; we had got good parking place, before big rush of the people coming into town. Basically people were gathering around stage to enjoy music, trash food and such, and waiting for big fireworks.
So huge crowd was gathered around, and I could see how americans are performing on such public events. Have to admit that doesn’t really differ so much from other countries 😉
hmm… I tasted also panacea (did I recall word incorrectly…), which is rather similar to ”tippaleipa”, rather tasty, greasy stuff…. and we get platefull of that stuff. Yes, surely we were not gonna eat it all, but just take few bites and throw rest into garbage, since we already rather full.
Before actual fireworks started, nature decided to setup its’ own light works. Thunderstorm apporached city, and gave magnificient lightning show…, and sadly also a rain, which caused that people started to rush away into their cars and in big rush out of the town. Fireworks was appearently a bit delayed due to rain, so we decided to not actually wait for it there, and moved on.
… and returning finally back to home base 😉
